About this blog . . .

This blog is meant to supplement my website about seafloor ceramic glazes and information about me.  The pots I make are usually appreciated in the context of geological history,  best told by people who gave me materials.   “Collected Mud Stories” is the first place to look for information about a glaze.

Header image is a floor brick that surfaced during demolition of the kiln that fired the first sea mud experiment. It bears evidence of kiln accidents and a wash-through of seawater from Hurricane Bob.  Cycles of hot and molten, cold and stoney–just like Earth’s activity.
